Description

The bi-level reducer is used to transition 3/4" solid wood floorcovering to 3/8" engineered wood floorcovering.  It is often used in installations where wood is installed over two different subfloors, i.e. plywood and concrete.  The bi-level reducer allows a continuous, smooth transition from the sold or 3/4" floorcovering to a 3/8" floorcovering without the gaps associated with other profiles.  When used in commercial applications, this transition maintains full compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines for Buildings and Facilities.

  • Moulding Solutions uses only environmentally friendly, VOC compliant finishes. Our high solids, high build finishes are machine applied and quick cured through various methods including chemical reaction and energy based methods.  The result is an even coat along the entire length of the product.  Our finishes have an added UV absorber to prolong the life of the finish and resist ambering, or "yellowing" of the product from age.  The resulting product will last for years to come.

Installation

  • Proper installation is detailed in the image at the top of this page

  • Be sure the lip covers the tongue of the flooring only - do not install the top lip over the floorcovering
