Description

The flush-mount reducer is commonly used to provide a smooth transition between two floors of separate height.  A common example can be found at the edge of a wood floorcovering where it meets vinyl floorcovering, as in a residential kitchen.  The reducer provides a smooth, continuous surface along its entire length to reduce the trip hazard.  The flush-mount reducer must be matched to the proper dimensions of the installed floorcovering to achieve the desired aesthetics and functional stability.  An improperly installed flush-mount reducer will break when stepped on or overlap the wood floorcovering entirely, creating a lip between the reducer and the wood floorcovering.

Our high solids, high build finishes are machine applied and quick cured through various methods including chemical reaction and energy based methods.  The result is an even coat along the entire length of the product.  Our finishes have an added UV absorber to prolong the life of the finish and resist ambering, or "yellowing" of the product from age.  The resulting product will last for years to come.

Installation

  • Proper installation is detailed in the image at the top of this page

  • Be sure the lip covers the tongue of the flooring only - do not install the top lip over the floorcovering
