Description
 

Prefinished stair treads are designed to directly replace the walking surface on staircases.  The stair tread is the walking surface on a staircase that is often covered in carpeting or finished on site to match prefinished or site finished wood floorcovering.   The advantages of installing a prefinished stairtread versus unfinished treads are simple: time, quality, convenience, and durability.  Unfinished stair treads are often finished on site, resulting in a great deal of dust, stain and odor that can find itself on walls, furniture, new flooring and other areas of the house.  Prefinished stair treads eliminate the need for site-finishing and allow the installer to drop in a prefinished solution for each stair with minimal cutting and no staining or finishing.  Open the box, and install the prefinished tread with the same peace of mind that comes with a prefinished floor.

  • Single faced bullnose with no mitered ends

  • Bullnosed face with one mitered and bullnosed end allows tread to simulate the appearance of penetration into the staircase

Stain:

• Available in all of Moulding Solutions' current stain colors.  These colors match over 300 prefinished wood floorcovering products and most popular site-finished colors.

Finish:

• Each tread is machine finished in our facility with 5 coats of finish.  The finish has added UV inhibitors to reduce the effects of ambering. 
• Moulding Solutions uses only environmentally friendly, VOC compliant finishes. Our high solids, high build finishes are machine applied and quick cured through various methods including chemical reaction and energy based methods.  The result is an even coat along the entire length of the product.  Our finishes have an added UV absorber to prolong the life of the finish and resist ambering, or "yellowing" of the product from age.  The resulting product will last for years to come.
